Role

Town & Country Resources Limited acted as acted as planning advisor to Healy Partners Architects and the client. This has entailed:

  • Providing land use planning guidance and inputs to the architects on the Masterplan.
  • Preparation of land use planning inputs to a re-zoning proposal to Limerick City Council to justify the re-zoning of 2.3 hectares within the overall property from Community & Education purposes to New Residential in the new Limerick Development Plan. Submissions were made at Pre-Draft and Draft Stages over the period August 2020-July 2022.
  • Our role was to recommend the most suitable zonings for the lands having regard to Clients’ development strategy, land-use mix and residential density requirements, whilst also having regard to the site context of the property.
  • Dianne McDonogh liaised closely with the Local Authority in their assessment of the re-zoning proposals.

Planning Outcome

The new Limerick Development Plan was adopted in August 2022, including a successful outcome in respect of the Diocesan lands submissions whereby 2.3 hectares of the property have been re-zoned to residential use.
